Anna Captures First Signs of Impending Fall

She was in the passenger seat. We had just left Laura’s. The traffic was backed up for the railroad crossing.

She caught the tree with the formerly green leaves, now rust colored.  Don’t want to see the summer end.

Cousins Watch the Cheerleading Performance

Maura attended a 3 day Cheerleading  camp at Olentangy High School.  She loved it!  She lead two of the cheers for the entire group.

Baby Charles and Aunt Laura came to see the performance.

Jack brought a book to read.  And he shared it with his new baby cousin!

Jack would just have soon missed the performance but entertained himself with a book.

Eastern Redbud Blooms

My friend Ginny planted this tree in my backyard as a memorial to my parents.  When Spring comes, despite the low temps tonight, the buds cluster and bloom all along the branches.

It is a most beautiful tree.

Soon the heart shaped leaves will appear.

Perseverance

You see motivational posters with a single word illustrating a character trait underneath a corresponding photo.   The power of nature to grow in an inhospitable environment is always amazing to me.
