My family knows how I feel about yarn. It’s nice to be thought of- Laura and Charlie saw this Yarn Bomb Tree Season of Celebrations at COSI in Columbus Ohio and sent me these photos.

Michael was the first recipient he passed it on to cousin Charlie

Maura reflected in Charlie’s glasses. He was three.

And Roy sporting the Batman hat last week.

Thank you Patty. I’m going to have to practice winding yarn with this cool vintage tool you sent.

I took them out of the China cabinet where I keep these special Ornaments year round.

I took this photo at the Heinz History Center in March 2016. The canister is from c.1962. There are a couple of these old canisters at eBay or Etsy.I found this photo in the archives tonight. The kit could make a “fitted coat and a pillbox hat”.

I’ve knit basic tube dresses for my granddaughter’s Barbies, using leftover sock yarn but I’d like to see what the fitted coat looked like.

It was a Cream Tea event at McWalker Yarns in Millvale, PA, Wednesday afternoon. Freshly baked scones, clotted cream with Four Fruit or Blackberry jam! Pots of hot tea. Knitwear Designer Jody Long was in from the UK,making his sixth shop stop in the USA on his Fall-Winter 2023 Tour-Cables Across America
It was the place to be for creative inspiration!

It was such fun watching Jes model his knitwear designs which were knit up in all of his gorgeous yarns.

Meet Andrea Panzica, owner of 614 Knit Studio in Clintonville, Columbus, Ohio. Here she helps me show off my finished object. She had helped me choose yarns for the Westknits Mystery Knit Along when I was visiting the family in October 2022. The yarn is Ansel fingering weight Jill Draper Makes Stuff yarn. I wanted to show Andrea the yarn knit up into the shawl from the yarn she’d helped me select. You might remember Andrea from the Great Lakes Fiber Festival post.
I frogged the start of Twists and Turns and knit Stephen West’s design Vertices Unite instead.

Here Andrea sporting her Stephen West Shawl MKAL from 2020 Slipstravaganza when I was choosing yarn last fall.

Three months ago I helped someone with their knitting. Yesterday they came to my front porch and I received this unexpected treat. Raspberries are about my favorite fruit. They taste like summer.
