Bridge Lights on the Allegheny River

Here’s my Square Light Challenge response today. Bridge Lights reflected in the foggy Allegheny River and lights along the River Walk.

Porch Light and 3 Candles at the Neighbors

Day 3 of January’s Light Squares Challenge

Christmas Lights, Candlelight, and Moonlight

Taking up Becky’s January Square Challenge of LIGHT.

Not my house, but it is so inviting and the candles are flickering along the sidewalk.

And yes, that is the moon up at the top of the photo.

The temperature dropped to 32 and the lights shine in the darkness, making winter beautiful.

Becky says (via Cee’s Photography post of a lighthouse at Twilight)

I’m proposing our January squares are filled with words ending in light that means one or more of the following; sunlight, floodlights, firelight, skylights, candlelight, sidelights, starlight, footlights, moonlight, streetlights, torchlight, taillights, gaslight, headlights, or, as I have today, twilight – whether that be the astronomical, nautical or civil twilight. And feel free to find your own _____light, there are more than 50 words which end in light!

Just Before Dawn

The Eastern Sky just before dawn.

Columbus Ohio.

The  slim crescent moon looks like a bright circle taken with the phone.

Afternoon Light in the Kitchen

Glow in the Dark

Charlie’s pajamas glow in the dark. And in the morning, too.    I took out my portable Ott Light (thanks Marlene) to charge up the stars so they’d glow even brighter.

Caption for What’s on my Ceiling?

Not a UFO. It caught my eye. I was surprised to look up and see this on my ceiling. It wasn’t a plan. It was just there. And it’s was large.

Early Morning Striped Light, Then and Now

I’m sleeping in Maura’s bed this week, while I’m in Ohio, but she came in to dress for school this morning.

As she stood in front of the mirror, the early morning light came in through the blinds.

I remembered.

Somewhere on the blog,a few years ago, I’d captured a shot of Maura with the same striped light on her hair. At least I thought it was the same light.

Her bedroom has eastern exposure.

So I went and searched and found it. September 2013 see the second photo.

The stripes are thin white light in 2013.

The blinds must have been almost closed completely.

Opposites Light and Heavy

Opposites

light and heavy. Two red balls in Ohio.

The snow has melted now and I’m back in the Burgh but thought these two pics illustrated light and heavy.
