Daily News Building New York City

Wednesday my sister and were walking to Grand Central Terminal Market to purchase LiLac chocolate as a hostess gift. We were headed to dinner at our cousin’s. Here’s the Daily News Building built in 1929 in the Art Deco style. Here’s the giant rotating globe in the lobby. Two photos of Christopher Reeve from filming the Superman movies are shown below.

Cousins in the Car’s Back Seat

A six word Saturday.  Maura is reflected in Charlie’s sunglasses.  They were making faces together.  BTW this is the old Batman hat that was a hand-me-down from Michael.  Finished the replacement hat today. See below.

Christmas 2011   Jack and Michael received superhero hats from Grandma   I think Michael wished I had bought him LEGO  One of my favorite photos.

The new Batman hat completed today December 28th

PGH Marathon Sunday May 6th

Pittsburgh Marathon is officially DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon- Here is a  Pittsburgh Post -Gazette Article about PGH MarathonMay 2018!

I missed photographing the early wheelchair participants and the first and fastest runners who’d already run by.  Got down the hill a little later this year.

Running to “remember Uncle Buddy” was touching.

Five- A Great Age To Be- Sir John Patrick “Jack”!

Love to you on your birthday Jack.  You make a great knight!

A mom made these knight tunics, helmets and lance and shields for her son's birthday party guests. WOW.

Superman Contemplates the Jump

The fire alarm went off at church. Too much incense.  Had to evacuate the building. Here is Jack on the fence outside the parish hall where they were getting ready for the All Saints parade for the children.  He switched into his St. John costume complete with eagle.

Anyway, I sewed this Superman cape about 28 years ago for Jack’s Uncle Matthew.  Now Jack(4)  wants to wear it constantly.  Last night I had to sew some repairs. He was so happy that it could be fixed.

Last Christmas time he was into Spiderman and you might have seen Jack on his Uncle Matthew. If not, click here.  Matthew comes in from Croatia pretty soon for Laura’s wedding.  I hope he doesn’t find I gave his old Superman cape to his nephew.
