Do you have a favorite cookie?

This afternoon I was baking chocolate chip cookies for my teenage grandsons. They were coming to visit for the weekend, I thought “ I prefer oatmeal raisin”. I knew their preference. Chocolate Chip

A cup of butter and 2teaspoons vanilla, tasty chocolate chips what could be wrong? Well, not wrong but I actually thought of making a batch of oatmeal cookies, too. (I know some friends omit the raisins.)

70-200 Lens for Lacrosse Game

I was sitting at the edge of the field in a canvas chair. Michael and Jack play lacrosse in addition to swimming. The 70-200 lens allowed me to cloture their participation while sitting down and relaxing.

Getting Ready for a Couple of Houseguests

 

My DIL called last night and asked if the boys could stay at Grandma’s house this weekend when the family comes in town for the big wedding.

Since their sisters are flower girl and junior bridesmaid the others will be very busy.

I’ve pulled out the PLAYMOBIL and LEGO and the little indoor tent. Stocking some of their favorite things to eat. Gearing up for company.

Tomorrow at school three classes taking finals  and then I have to read and grade them but at 2:44, I’ll be out the school door and headed to pick up my two grandsons for the weekend at my house. Very exciting.

Firefighter Takes a Moment to Pose

Mark and Erika were cleaning out the garage on Sunday afternoon. Anna was helping. Maura napping. When you start a major project like that it’s difficult to stop. You don’t want to lose momentum! It’d be tough to get back to the task. They were readying the space for pulling the cars in as the frost is coming.  BUT- Michael and Jack really wanted to go to the Fire Department Day.  I was packed and ready to head back to Pittsburgh- E asked if I could take the boys to the Fire House.  An unexpected good time to share!  I drove the boys to see the fire trucks and I am so glad we went.  We saw them burn and extinguish two rooms, one without a sprinkler system and one with. Yikes!  Will post the one without the sprinklers as it is more dramatic. Michael, Jack and I had a great time together. They climbed into all the emergency vehicles and ate popcorn and there were free balloons.  I  love when they read all the car logos in the parking lot.
