Wordless Wednesday

Today’s mail brought the delivery of a package. Always fun to receive an unexpected gift. If you squeeze the body, you can hear the sheep bleating. You know how I love puppets. He’ll be a great addition to video calls with the grandchildren. Thanks JB for the ewe mail.

I’m happy to be here to celebrate your birthday!
Love,
your Grandma (AKA FF Ruthie)
Thank goodness for Face Time. Zoom calls. Google Duo. Together App. Staying connected is essential for good mental health
Thanks to my granddaughter Maura for facilitating the call. Great idea!
Is that dog going to get me?
Henry and Josie anticipate Maura’s arrival, as she brings @perpetual_puppy_airedale (AKA Scout) into the house on Saturday afternoon.
My Pandemic pup(pet) has entertained the grandchildren virtually but Saturday they got to meet him in real life. He’s got an Instagram account and I’ve photographed him and posted. Maura said to me -when I had him on Face Time – let me see him run around on the floor, show me both your hands! He’s the best kind of pup for me, zero maintenance.
Four of the Grandkids, their mom and two real Airedales and were here this weekend for a quick 24 hour visit. I had not seen them in 3 months.
You miss the physical connection, the being together.
We’re into the third month of being apart.
Grateful for virtual connection via Face Time
Wherever you are today, hope your Thanksgiving is a good one.

Puppets need a human (or two) to come to life. One to operate and even better with one to appreciate the effort of the puppeteer.
This puppet looks like a giftwrapped present. Surprise! It’s a furry puppy. Like a manual Jack-in-the-box without the organ grinder music. This particular puppet was Michael’s (12) and he’s passed it on to cousin Charlie (2 1/2).
Laura surprised Charlie.
Then Charlie gave the puppy a kiss.
Figuring out how it works
