Garden Party with Erin

Meet Erin who has a professional gardening business. Garden Party With Erin Design. Revive. Restore.

She helped me with my jungle of a garden after the Pandemic. Literally transformed the place.

I know my neighbors were thrilled. Me, too!

I knit her a Read This Hat last year with her business name knit into it.

She popped by today with a surprise gift for me. Check out this hoodie! Love it. How about this photo with the sunshine?

Artist who designed her company logo is ________(awaiting Erin’s response but it’s late tonight)

A perfect gift

I always wanted to try this. Buy this. But I never did.

I’d eaten Irish butter, Danish Butter and German butter before. But never Italian.

Oh my, it was so good on a piece of toast.

Five stars!

From my DIL Nataliya.
A surprise from Labriola’s Italian Market

IKEA’s Pressa Hanging Dryer Surprise…

Along with chocolate-filled heart-shaped cookies, a box of delicious tea and other sundries.

My friend Joanne shipped a surprise box to me a few days ago and look what was inside.

An Octopus with 8 folding arms and 16 clips – a hanging dryer called Pressa from IKEA.

Look how perfectly it holds my handknit socks. It even matches my bathroom tile.

Thank you for the lovely gifts, Joanne. A fun surprise.

Seasonal Delivery a Mystery

Steve took this photo in Pittsburgh today. The box was on the front porch when he got home from work.

I’m in Ohio visiting grandkids and a beautiful shipment of lucious Royal Riviera Pears from Harry and David arrived at my house. Oh my!

No enclosed card to let me know who the thoughtful sender is. I’m hoping I can get a clue by posting the photo Steve sent me.

I look forward to enjoying eating the juicy pears when I get home. What a lovely surprise. Thank you❤️

No luck

Surprise Gift in the Mail

A box of sweet Georgia peaches was delivered on my front porch. Thank you Kristin and Rick.

What a happy and unexpected (and juicy) surprise. The jewels of a summer harvest at Pearson Farm in Georgia arrived in Pittsburgh. Perfection! The scent as the box was opened was wonderful and the taste even better. Delicious!

Shipped from Pearson Farm.

Ewe Mail

Today’s mail brought the delivery of a package. Always fun to receive an unexpected gift. If you squeeze the body, you can hear the sheep bleating. You know how I love puppets. He’ll be a great addition to video calls with the grandchildren. Thanks JB for the ewe mail.

An Angel of Friendship Delivered on a Sunday

Sunday morning I was sipping coffee and knitting a sock and Steve said, “there’s a package for you.”

A surprise delivery.

I opened it up and there was an unexpected gift of a Willow Tree Angel of Friendship with a lovely message. ❤️ I have her where I can see her when I’m “working” in my former dining room, now transformed into a workshop space.

Thank you, Carrie.
A friend and fellow knitter I “met” through the Woolly Thistle Knitting Buddy Program during the Pandemic.

My June Plans Revealed at School Friday Afternoon

During seventh period my door got decorated as a surprise, courtesy of Ms. McCann and a team of The Future Is Mine students.

I got some lovely words from some sweet teenagers as they read the door.

In January. I’d put in my letter of intent to retire at the end of this school year and told the adults but hadn’t shared with the students.  Now they can help me celebrate.

Today it feels real. 🎓🎉🎏😃

Thanks Ms. McCann
