Surprise Gift in the Mail

A box of sweet Georgia peaches was delivered on my front porch. Thank you Kristin and Rick.

What a happy and unexpected (and juicy) surprise. The jewels of a summer harvest at Pearson Farm in Georgia arrived in Pittsburgh. Perfection! The scent as the box was opened was wonderful and the taste even better. Delicious!

Shipped from Pearson Farm.

Ewe Mail

Today’s mail brought the delivery of a package. Always fun to receive an unexpected gift. If you squeeze the body, you can hear the sheep bleating. You know how I love puppets. He’ll be a great addition to video calls with the grandchildren. Thanks JB for the ewe mail.

An Angel of Friendship Delivered on a Sunday

Sunday morning I was sipping coffee and knitting a sock and Steve said, “there’s a package for you.”

A surprise delivery.

I opened it up and there was an unexpected gift of a Willow Tree Angel of Friendship with a lovely message. ❤️ I have her where I can see her when I’m “working” in my former dining room, now transformed into a workshop space.

Thank you, Carrie.
A friend and fellow knitter I “met” through the Woolly Thistle Knitting Buddy Program during the Pandemic.

My June Plans Revealed at School Friday Afternoon

During seventh period my door got decorated as a surprise, courtesy of Ms. McCann and a team of The Future Is Mine students.

I got some lovely words from some sweet teenagers as they read the door.

In January. I’d put in my letter of intent to retire at the end of this school year and told the adults but hadn’t shared with the students.  Now they can help me celebrate.

Today it feels real. 🎓🎉🎏😃

Thanks Ms. McCann
