Charlie (2 1/2) was in his astronaut suit after breakfast, ready for lift off before Ben Huberman at WordPress challenged bloggers to show Out of this World.
(Ben did say it could be a loose interpretation of the theme)

When I saw this week’ photo challenge LAYERED by Ben Huberman at WordPress, I thought of these photos immediately. The layered rainbow jello took five hours to make,- a plain layer had to set and them jello with some greek yogurt in the next layer to make the jello opaque. The creation was to photograph, not eat. I kept in the freezer for such a long time I won’t even say.
Steve took that colorful layered rainbow cake into work and everyone in the office liked it. I couldn’t eat any cause I knew how much food color was in the batter.
Ben Huberman of WordPress challenged bloggers to post an image that illustrated their State of mind.
We arrived in Philadelphia this afternoon.

This could come in handy during election year.
Seeing light on the other side of cascading water in our hotel lobby. Cloudy, blurred, fluid, relaxing to watch.
Ben Huberman’s challenge of the week. He says, “Photos are visual spaces where shapes and lines, objects, and people come together.”
And what classic photo from my Pittsburgh archives could I choose, except where the Allegheny River and the Monongahela River converge to create the great Ohio River? Three Rivers!
Anna and Lala converge at james’ parents’ farm
Ocean and sand converge at sunrise. St. George Island, Florida
Double Yellow Lines converge at Little Italy Days in Bloomfield.
Railroad tracks appear to converge even though we know they are parallel. Ohio.
Perhaps this one is for MERGE where the traffic attempts to converge
Geometric lines of light, Market Square. CONGREGATION kinetic interactive video art installation
The Beatles song Come Together comes to mind
Monument is the weekly challenge. Mr. Ben Huberman says it can be” broadly defined”
The family was on vacation in Michigan this week.
My son Mark photographed Anna sitting on the Montgomery City Bus, in the very seat in which Rosa Parks was arrested, Dec 1, 1955.
The Rosa Parks Bus is in The Henry Ford in Dearborn Michigan. The exhibit is titled With Liberty and Justice for All.

There are Rosa Parks Statues in Grand Rapids Michigan, Dallas Texas and The Capitol in Washington D.C.
Rosa Parks is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit Michigan. Here is the Wikipedia link to the “First Lady of Civil Rights”
