Laura and James were leaving after Sunday dinner at Mark and Erika’s.
I said, “Grab Penny and I’ll take your photo” as the sun was setting and it was such a nice light.
And when I looked on the computer screen, there was Henry the Airedale, peering out of the storm door.
I can’t read his mind but there are several captions possible.
Penny was watching the neighbor instead of me.
I was downtown at the Camera Repair Service again. Don’t ask. Used a different camera card to experiment and tes.

A monumental sculpture by J Seward Johnson has been at PPG Place for “about four days”, the guard said.
But don’t worry. The giant dancers will be in place until October.
Dancing at Bougival (painted in 1883 by Pierre A. Renoir ) is in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

The sky color grabbed my eye. The painterly quality of the Allegheny River. Lights reflected are a favorite of mine.
You can’t have Pittsburgh city shots without plenty of bridges.
And lit at night? Always satisfying to find the skyline in different moods from different vantage points.
While seeking photographs of my grandson Michael (his sister Anna is going to create a story board) for his First Holy Communion Party on Saturday, I found these two Pittsburgh night photos.

The rain stopped but the pavement was still wet and the lights reflected in it as it grew dark.

Selfies are the thing for high schoolers. It’s really their favorite subject to shoot. Themselves!

We were headed out to see the Nutcracker Sunday afternoon. The car window offered this view.
Saturday morning we went out to the Columbus airport to meet Mark’s college friend Bob. ( Marquette U) Bob is a Lt Commander and trains jet pilots. He’d invited us out to see him and check out the training jet. The kids loved that!
When we were leaving, and the family walked by another parked jet, I photographed their reflection.
Summer vacation’s a wonderful break from the school year.
Have to report back to school two weeks from tomorrow 8-20.
It’s difficult to see summer come to a close. Even the weather seems tinged with fall.
Trying to keep the blog in “real time” and needed a Pittsburgh photo to post tonight. I shot this when Steve and I went on the Ducky Tour.
The Pirates are playing the Marlins at PNC Park tomorrow night. And tickets are in hot demand these days! GO BUCS!
