I ate the onion ring anyway

I wondered if it was a sign. It wasn’t red in color but….

The general prohibition sign, also known informally as the no symbol….”

I ate the onion ring anyway!

Lemon Cucumbers

Someone brought me three lemon cucumbers today. They don’t taste lemony, I was told.

Good with hummus.

They showed well in the red Pyrex bowl

BLOOM at the Children’s Museum

What a fun time we had at the Children’s Museum Pittsburgh on a perfect summer Thursday evening. Artwork, live music, refreshments, vendors. Good friends. We even had our pictures taken by a professional in the lower floor.

Chatham Massachusetts Guest Blog

My granddaughter Anna’s friend, Martina, shared these colorful scenes from her recent summer vacation.

Martina is the guest blogger today. Anna and Martina swam together on the high school team. I enjoy seeing another part of the world.

A Shout Out

Meet Andrea Panzica, owner of 614 Knit Studio in Clintonville, Columbus, Ohio. Here she helps me show off my finished object. She had helped me choose yarns for the Westknits Mystery Knit Along when I was visiting the family in October 2022. The yarn is Ansel fingering weight Jill Draper Makes Stuff yarn. I wanted to show Andrea the yarn knit up into the shawl from the yarn she’d helped me select. You might remember Andrea from the Great Lakes Fiber Festival post.

I frogged the start of Twists and Turns and knit Stephen West’s design Vertices Unite instead.
