Tour Guide

Krista Stevens at WordPress creates some interesting photo challenges. This week we’re to show where we live with the theme Tour Guide,

Here’s a Pittsburgh montage.  Knowing when to stop digging in the archives is the problem but it’s one AM so we’ll start with this gallery tonight.

If you enter the city from the south- Ft Pitt Tunnel and Bridge this is the view when you emerge from the tunnel,

Photos Showing Growth

GROWTH– the Weekly Photo Challenge

And the grandchildren have grown even more since these photos were taken.

Except maybe Jack holding his Christmas present from his Grandma Marlene.  She takes the year of photos and creates a hardcover book for each grandchild. She makes one for the family, too, which is really nice to have the hard copies instead of a picture on a computer or phone.  A good way to document growth from year to year.

Toddler in the mist.

Charlie (2) joins cousins Maura and Michael in the cloudy mist.

The first time it started and hissed and the air got foggy, he ran out, not knowing what to expect.

Wasn’t long before he joined them in the Cloud Arbor by Artist Ned Kahn.
When we finish our time at the Children’s Museum the kids always run to the tall metal pipes and eagerly wait for the start of the misty foggy cloud.

You should hear the happy squeals.

The Cloud Arbor.
