Finding a Match

Mary, Maura and I spent some time this afternoon, trying to find pairs from a big box of clean socks. We are not the first team to attempt to match socks! As many as six family members have contributed to the accumulation. There were no-show socks, shorties, ankle socks, a couple of argyle and a ton of black and white athletic crew socks, some dress socks. A few holey socks were discarded. No hand knit socks on the pile!

Socks are under control. Maura standing with what I’d call a sneaker sock but nobody uses that term.

Some loners were left. Hopefully there are some matches in a drawer or under a bed.

My Son-in-Law Spotted This Crocheted Tire Cover

James picked me up at the airport. On our way back to the house, James not only spotted this tire cover but he called it accurately. CROCHET! I’m so proud. He can distinguish crochet from knitting!

He pulled right behind so I could get a pic. Blurred out the license plate. Thanks James

So I found Step-by-step tire cover patterns online at Craftmumship

And hand crafted tire covers for sale on Etsy

One AM Rocket Launch

Here’s a video I took (sans tripod), Wednesday night. I had wondered what it would look like from my spot on the beach which is about twenty miles away from Cape Canaveral . It was probably a once in a lifetime experience for me. There are fewer “firsts” as we age. There was also a full moon out over the Atlantic. Thanks Marlene for the “launch alert.” It was something to see! There’s a still shot and then the video, see the blast light up the sky.

Here’s the video for the patient. It’s 3 + minutes long. It was remarkable to witness the launch.

One AM Rocket Launch. Yes, I should have turned the camera to landscape in
Just the beginning. Like a hot sunrise on the horizon
This is what was launched
The moon was bright -taken before midnight

Anchovies- Yes or No?

Anchovies.

Epicurious says “There are more polarizing things than anchovies, but these tiny, briny fish definitely have their fans and their foes. If you fall into the former category, however, these anchovy recipes are for you.(41 Recipes)

If yes, how do you prefer to eat them?

If no, you can elaborate.
