Oscar the Labradoodle Likes Pillows

Laura writes “In case you wonder why I suggest putting your pillow under the blanket when you visit”

Laura texted me the pic she took of Oscar, the Labradoodle.

Winnie the Rescue Dog Guest Blog

LC (Little Cat) isn’t the only one who hides under the cowhide. You may have seen her cattail peeking out from under this exact spot on the Wordless Wednesday post. I took the kitty photo on Sunday when I went to my friends house for lunch

This evening I received these photos from my friend. Jen Salvatore sent them in response to Wordless Wednesday’s post.

Meet Winnie, the rescue dog.

Jen says:

Winnie…she’s our rescue dog…mostly part black lab/American pit bull. She like to play with her toys under there. 🙂

She’s was named after the movie Hocus Pocus…since she was a hopeful adoptee for October. We kept the name since she knew it. 🙂

I told Jen the pics of her pets worked perfectly with the black and white hide and that a Golden Retriever’s coat just wouldn’t be the same.

Oscar Catches a Cool Drink

James was watering in the front yard.

Oscar thought he’d catch a refreshing drink from the hose spray.

And a rainbow appeared.

Meet Oscar

Oscar is a labradoodle who will be one in August. He’s enjoying being part of Laura, James and Charlie’s family. They’re enjoying him, too. ❤️

I don’t think he’s supposed to be on the couch but I wasn’t going to tell him
How do those balloons stay afloat?
A secret for cousin Jack
He moved his head so it’s a blur but he certainly looked tall when he joined me on the couch

Highland Park in the Snow

If you look down into the woods, you can see the grave of the first settler of Highland Park- Alexander Negley (1734-1809)

I’d just driven Steve to work and I wanted to see my favorite tree in the snow, so I drove through the park on the way home.

My #perpetual_puppy_Airedale was along for the ride.

Keeping in Touch

Thank goodness for Face Time. Zoom calls. Google Duo. Together App. Staying connected is essential for good mental health

Thanks to my granddaughter Maura for facilitating the call. Great idea!

Border Collie Cookie

Friends dropped off home baked cookies and this specially decorated dog cookie definitely resembled their Border Collie, Beau.

I’d say they nailed it.

I photographed Beau December 2018.
Cookie is this Christmas.

Penny the Golden Doodle: a Family’s Best Friend

The unexpected loss of a beloved pet, who’s a big part of the family, is a painful and sad experience. Laura, James and Charlie will miss her so much. Here are some photos when Penny was featured on the blog.

Remembering Penny today and the happiness she brought to her family.

RIP Penny

Penny liked to watch TV -The Dog Show, Marie Kondo, Chevy Chase in Christmas Vacation

Penny thought she was a lap dog.
She liked to nap with her Dad.
Here she is meeting her cousin Henry when he was just a pup
