Googly Eyes on Office Supplies – a guest blog

They seem to come alive.

Grandson Charlie (9) created a short stop animation with these office supplies on which he added Googly Eyes.

I bought the tin of Googly Eyes at a toy store with the Motto “No Batteries. No Screens. Pure Fun!” Dragonfly Castle in Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh.

Butterfly Season at Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Garden

Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Garden Columbus Ohio

“Experience Blooms & Butterflies and immerse yourself in the enchanting Pacific Island Water Garden, where hundreds of vibrant exotic butterflies flutter freely in a warm, tropical paradise filled with brilliant nectar flowers.”

Wednesday morning with Laura and Roy-

Hard to photograph the butterflies in flight but when they light on a leaf with their colorful wings spread one can snap a photo with ease.

Folding a Load of Towels

  1. Folding a load of towels can be satisfying. Bath towels, hand towels, beach towels, dish towels, washcloths. There are many ways to fold towels.

When I’m visiting my daughter I ask her to remind me how she folds her towels so I can replicate her method.

They need to fit on the linens shelf the way she’s accustomed to. Linen closet space might determine your preference.

I fold mine differently at home.

Do you think there’s a right way? A proper way? Do you fold/roll towels the way your mother did? Do you think about why you have a preference? Do your towels look like you’re in a fancy hotel or spa?

Here’s an article on Five Ways to Fold Towels

And there’s also the debate whether to Fold or Roll. Which is better?

Coffee Ice Cream

Ever since that Howard Johnson vintage ad post, I’ve had the thought of a coffee ice cream cone in the back of my mind.

Look what my dear daughter Laura brought home from the grocery store last night. Just the right amount. There was even a tiny paddle spoon in the lid.

Just 3.6 Fl ounces 210 calories if you’re counting
Talk about portion control !!

The Year 1950 Exhibit

On January 24, 2020 Laura and Charlie and I went to the Ohio History Center

There was an exhibit about the year 1950. Building the American Dream.

I don’t believe I posted these photos cause several of them were upside down. I righted them and am sharing today.

Today is a Good Day the Box says

“Always take pics of furniture but ever furniture boxes?” Granddaughter Maura wrote in a text with this photo

I responded “why not?”

Guest blogger today is Maura. Oh she managed to send an abandoned chair too

And the white and blue box says “today is a good day.”

Look What Charlie Found!

“Make it art!”
