A Cat Tea Cozy

Joanne made an adorable hand stitched Tea Cozy in the shape of a cat. We zoomed on our computers while I opened the present she shipped from Florida. There were boxes of tea as well but I don’t have a pic. Her thinking is I can do porch knitting with

friends while we sip tea. I love the cat cozy. Thank you Joanne for the creative handmade cat to keep the teapot warm.

Annual Fruitcake Reveal

Thank you for the gift of a delicious homemade fruitcake like none other!

I’m loving that darling Tea Cozy too. No matches allowed near that muslin cloth wrapping it!

My sister Mary and I indulged today, now we are back in the Burgh.

A great way to start the new year.

Do you like fruitcake? I especially like this homemade one, chock full of wonderful ingredients.

Who Remembers Bizarre Bazaar Items?

I have this old, approximately the 1960’s,  PATONS 65 cents pamphlet with knitting patterns for Bazaar Items.  Corn cob slippers, tea cozies, toilet roll covers and poodle bottle covers to name a few.  I see that the same booklet can be purchased on Ebay for about four bucks now.

Not sure if anyone still has a dolly or poodle sitting on top of their toilet tank with a spare roll of toilet paper hidden underneath.

A Knitting Themed Tea Cozy and San Pasqual Patron Saint of Cooks

Returned to Pittsburgh this evening and a package of Christmas gifts from J in Omaha, awaited me.

She stitched a bright colored tea cozy to keep the tea warm as it steeps.

Love the colors and knitting theme as many of you know I’ve been knitting my way through the winter.

I need a patron saint in the kitchen and will put him in a prominent place in the morning.

Thanks J. What a fun surprise.
