Joanne painted this tea bag art and created a greeting card for my July 4th birthday.
My friend Joanne, belongs to an artists’ group in St. Augustine, Florida, -Cafe Sketchers
“Mary Ann Miller is the leader . Our group is the Cafe Sketchers and the blog is Sketching in Provence as a group of them went a few years ago…
We meet at a different cafe each time and sketch and eat. Lately we meet via zoom and share what we’re working on.” Joanne writes
The Sketchers in Provence founder, Mary Ann’s blog post says….
“the idea was to use a teabag in a sketch/painting/print in any way you desired. Ideas included painting directly on dried and emptied teabags (inspired by New York artist Ruby Silvious), printing with the wet bag and making something out of that shape, painting with tea or painting a picture of a teacup. I used tea to dye unbleached muslin to cover my T-Doodles books”

Six word Saturday.
Teatime with fancy teabag and beaker.
The water’s boiling in the electric kettle. One fancy teabag waiting to be brewed into an inviting cup of fragrant tea. I let it steep.
Thank you dear friend for the lovely gift of fancy teabags. So elegant. And flavorful. Sipping tea and reflecting as you suggested. You encourage me always!
Mmmmm

Liquid fuel.
I noticed a theme as I sifted through my phone so gathered a few of my morning drinks.

Tea time at a friend’s table, Monday afternoon. A lovely respite, good conversation, catching up, topics- family and friends, the state of our world. A plate of chocolate filled cookies. A gracious hostess offering a cup of tea. We toasted and clinked our delicate teacups. To friendship.
Cheers!
My daughter and I were toying with some Spring cleaning today. Well, it felt almost like Spring and the sun was out.
Cleaning with an almost 8 month old is the trick!
I dusted her vanity in the bedroom and saw this teacup holding her dangly earrings. The teacup and saucer were a gift from her friend Jenny’s shower.
I washed and dried it and replaced the earrings and thought I’m taking a photo and blogging it. The cakestand in the background holds fragrances and she had a ceramic egg carton with hairpins and buttons. A bit of a kitchen theme?
