Do You Have Magnets on Your Fridge?

Maybe you have a stainless steel refrigerator or a fancy glass door- not sure where this practice originated. One time I photographed a fridge in a junkyard snd the door still had magnets stuck on it!

Some people collect them from places they visit. Send photos if you wish.

First Cousins Meet for the First Time

Not even 24 hours old. My daughter Laura and her husband James have a new member of the family.

Charles Joseph. 7 pounds 15 ounces. 19 1/2 inches long.

He arrived Thursday night but Anna and Michael were home in bed resting up for the Peppe Meet at Ohio State Swim Club Friday afternoon.

Friday morning, we went to Riverside hospital on the way to the swim meet. It was on the way to OSU.

and we talked to Uncle Matty and Natalya in Croatia via SKYPE

Made an art project out of the Mini-Mes found in drawer

Completing the gradebook, returning materials, getting signatures that I’ve accomplished the required tasks.

My remaining time at school growing shorter by the minute.

Still things to be done, so why not take a break and create something?
I glued all the “students” in the lid of a copy paper box. Well, not all of them but as many of the seniors who graduated last Sunday.

What might look like leftover stuff to others became a wonderful memory to me.

Thanks for the memories.

Marathon Highlights – Sunday May 3 Pittsburgh PA

At the twenty mile mark in Highland Park

Stephen Njoroge, a native of Kenya runner-up in 2013, won the men’s race in 2:15:19.
Female winner -Clara Santucci, 28, finished in 2 hours, 34 minutes, 6 seconds here she is approaching the twenty mile mark

The handchairs are inspiring to watch.

Solidarity with New York Teachers

From one city of Pittsburgh school teacher to the teachers of New York-

I met Megan as we were getting on the subway shuttle today. She teaches Middle School Special Ed.

She was on her way to the demonstration in front of Governor Cuomo’s East Side Office to protest his unfair educational policies and linking student test scores to teacher evaluation (for starters). Not to mention his total disrespect for teachers.

Here’s the photo I took of her with her protest sign.

(Mary and I were on our way to meet friends at the Cooper-Hewitt Museum.)

She sent the photo I took to herself- so later I had a thought. See below the dotted line.

Then I got to thinking and texted her and asked her to send photos from the actual demonstration.

Outdoor Inflatable Yard Decor or Illuminated Plastic Blow Molds?

SO when did the inflatables show up on the lawns of America? During the day they lie flat. At night they whir and are filled with air, move a bit in the wind.

The first one found while pulled over to a curb on the North Side, checking directions on the travel app.
