There’s nothing like light, refracted.
Rainbowlight on a door jamb via the dining room chandelier and a bit of sun coming in the front window.
Becky B has been Struck by Moonlight again as the #Januarylight challenge continues.
We were headed over the Rankin Bridge on our way to the Waterfront. It started to rain while the sun was out. I pulled into the Rivers of Steel parking lot when the rainbow appeared. We walked across the wet grass and I gave Maura my phone and she captured the rainbow!

Silent Sunday

A found rainbow at dawn.
Right on my polka dot sheets. I’ve put away the flannel ones until next winter.
This week’s challenge is your place in the world.
My comfortable bed seemed a good place to start the day, finding my place in the world.

Saturday morning I woke up to this in my bed-
you know I’m always looking for signs.
Thought it a good illustration for layered, too.
Rainbow created by a thick bottomed crystal mug that was sitting in my windowsill.
(It was a retirement gift from blog follower and frequent commenter Sue!)

When I saw this week’ photo challenge LAYERED by Ben Huberman at WordPress, I thought of these photos immediately. The layered rainbow jello took five hours to make,- a plain layer had to set and them jello with some greek yogurt in the next layer to make the jello opaque. The creation was to photograph, not eat. I kept in the freezer for such a long time I won’t even say.
Steve took that colorful layered rainbow cake into work and everyone in the office liked it. I couldn’t eat any cause I knew how much food color was in the batter.
