Silent Sunday (actually on Sunday)

Silent Sunday on Sunday this time.

Two Sundays in a week.

Silent Sunday on Wednesday AND Sunday this week.

Not Just Yellow Chicks at Easter Time-Peeps!

You know those yellow, sugar crusted marshmallows in the shape of chicks?

Mary sent Laura and family the Peeps marshmallowy gingerbread men and I saw them at her house. Then I saw the display in Pittsburgh Giant Eagle market. Would you believe there’s a Candy Cane shape that wasn’t in the store. I didn’t eat any but I wondered what flavor they were. the gingerbread man is gingerbread flavor and candy canes are peppermint flavor.

I missed Halloween monsters, skulls and pumpkins display.

Baked by a Friend

What a lovely gift I received today. A homemade almond cake, baked by a dear friend.

Look at the handmade bird ornament with sparkly sequins all hand stitched –

I love almonds and almond cake.

But I need to share with some company so good thing my sister is coming soon.

Thank you Tookie❤️

Beautiful craftsmanship

Blown Glass Ornament Trees at Franklin Park Conservatory

Laura, Roy and I went to the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Columbus Ohio.

The Glass Ornament trees were something to see! The weather was a bit gray and wet but our spirits weren’t dampened.

Toy Hall of Fame Additions-Guest Blog

I received this nostalgic photo with two wonderful toys to the Toy Hall of Fame post from yesterday . Thank you blog follower Mary Kay M for the addition of these two noteworthy toys-Radio Flyer Wagon created by Antonio Pasin in 1917 and Lincoln Logs inducted in 1999 but created by John Lloyd Wright in 1916 the second son of Frank Lloyd Wright. –

There are a lot more toys to be documented but we’ve got a pretty good sampling now .
