Silent Sunday

Silent Sunday.

A Perfect Ornament Arrived in the Mail Today

A lovely gift arrived from my friend Joanne. All wrapped carefully inside a cardboard box. I hung it on the tree as soon as I released it from the bubble wrap.

A camera!

I held the little fox to pose in front of it before we put him on the top of the tree.

Unexpected Sighting

Not yet Halloween. Photographed October 16th at Beaver Valley Mall.

Christmas Tree and Couch, Curbside

Clintonville. On Calumet. In Columbus.

No kidding.

That’s a lot of Cs.

I saw this Christmas Tree and the couch waiting for pick up. Some people put their trees out right after Christmas.

Maybe the trees have up since Thanksgiving and the needles are dropping like crazy.

Long Winter’s Night

Relaxing by the fire Christmas night. The first day of Christmas. One day seems sufficient.

Grandson Charlie turned 2 1/2 on Christmas Day. He and his family came Christmas afternoon for dinner. We had a nice time together.

Preparing CHRISTMAS Trees in Berlin

A definite “shelf-life”. Ben H. of WordPress Created this photo challenge.

Temporary. Christmas decorations qualify for the word of the week.

And on top of the Gluhwein Stand-

And a few other pics for the second ATOP gallery.

I was talking with my friend today and said I don’t think I use the word atop in my everyday vocabulary.  But I seem to have a few photos from the archives that illustrate it.

The Direction of Light

The direction of available light affects the image significantly-

It’s beginning to look a lot like…

Christmas.

Decking the halls. Preparing for the Christmas season. I haven’t done any decorating, yet. On the recent trip to New York, the effort was in full swing. A couple of Pittsburgh shots, too.
