Round Corner Hotel in Lawrenceville

An interesting building built during the Civil War (1862) – you don’t see many round corner buildings in brick.

Thursday night after dinner across the street at Piccolo Forno.

Local artist William Pfahl painted this interesting building in 2017 as one of his cityscapes. A link to an article about Bill’s paintings. Bill is a fellow retired city art teacher. And link 2011 blog post about him painting the Sixteenth Street Bridge.

Folding a Fitted Sheet by dc

Last week it was multiple ways to fold towels. Today dc contributed his photos of his foolproof method to fold a fitted sheet.

Spread it out, flat
From bottom fold to middle
and top down to middle
Fold in half
Fold in half twice
Ready to be put away in the linen closet

“Many ways to do it of course.

Internet* has instructions galore.

This is just easy way for me.” dc

Googly Eyes on Office Supplies – a guest blog

They seem to come alive.

Grandson Charlie (9) created a short stop animation with these office supplies on which he added Googly Eyes.

I bought the tin of Googly Eyes at a toy store with the Motto “No Batteries. No Screens. Pure Fun!” Dragonfly Castle in Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh.

Wednesday morning with Laura and Roy-

Hard to photograph the butterflies in flight but when they light on a leaf with their colorful wings spread one can snap a photo with ease.
