Apollo 11 Command Module Hatch Window

Laura and Charlie are in from Ohio so we returned to see the Destination Moon Exhibit at the Heinz History Center.  Charlie ( 3 1/2) loves all things SPACE.

Today I captured them from the other side of the hatch, looking though.  Of course it is protected under glass/plexiglass.

You can see the other side of the hatch here

Cousins in the Car’s Back Seat

A six word Saturday.  Maura is reflected in Charlie’s sunglasses.  They were making faces together.  BTW this is the old Batman hat that was a hand-me-down from Michael.  Finished the replacement hat today. See below.

Christmas 2011   Jack and Michael received superhero hats from Grandma   I think Michael wished I had bought him LEGO  One of my favorite photos.

The new Batman hat completed today December 28th

Teatime With Fancy Teabag and Beaker

Six word Saturday.

Teatime with fancy teabag and beaker.

The water’s boiling in the electric kettle. One fancy teabag waiting to be brewed into an inviting cup of fragrant tea. I let it steep.

Thank you dear friend for the lovely gift of fancy teabags. So elegant. And flavorful. Sipping tea and reflecting as you suggested. You encourage me always!

Mmmmm

Pittsburgh’s Spring Garden Neighborhood Summer Evening

#sixwordSaturday

Steve and I met Vincie at the Penn Brewery parking lot and walked down Vinial Street to the Kaffeehaus on Chestnut Street.

My former photography teacher from Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild, Germaine Watkins, had a solo show of incredible photographs of Haiti. I bought the one of the gorgeous countryside that is right behind my head.

Vincie took this photo of me with Germaine

Spiralized Squash Starts Taste of Summer

Spiralized squash starts taste of summer. My six word Saturday.

Laura got their CSA box (Community Supported Agriculture) this afternoon.  Local Harvest of Columbus Ohio lists participating farms. She put the spiralizer to work on the summer squash.  Charlie had asked for red sauce for dinner, rotini his favorite pasta shape.
