Silent Sunday

These photographs were taken by my grandson Jack, who is 14 and a high school freshman.
He told me recently he’d like to get into photography.
My advice to him was to take a lot of pictures, study them and look for the good light.
I thought he captured the feel of Autumn quite nicely.

I drove Steve to work today.
October morning.
Pulled over to capture the colors and the lights reflected by the magic of wet pavement.
The bees are sluggish as the seasons change.
Easier to capture a photograph as they’re not flitting from flower to flower.

Mirror Lake Saturday late afternoon.
I was on my way to pick up Maura from Synchronized Swim Camp. I pulled over and rolled down my window. After I picked her up we drove by again. The sun was gone by that time. Glad I caught it when I saw it. Elusive light.

Columbus, Ohio. Charlie finished for the day.

A friend brought over this warm treat of Pear Apple Crisp on Sunday afternoon. She was going to come over Monday morning to sew but then the Crisp would no longer be crisp but soggy.
The flavors of fall, cinnamon and ginger. I took it out on the front porch.
Added some vanilla ice cream on the warm fruit. I saved a little for Steve to enjoy later.
What an unexpected and delicious treat.

Three views of the North Side of the city on Thursday afternoon. Photographed from the AGH parking garage.

The second bloom iris is at it again with a new bloom and there are at least three more to open if they don’t freeze some night soon.
