Georgia Peach in Evening Light

Perfect ripeness

An unexpected surprise delivered to my house. A box arrived containing a baker’s dozen of Georgia peaches from dear friends. Thank you Kristin and Rick. They not only do they look gorgeous but are the sweetest, juiciest peaches, ever. Laura had just told me on the phone, they were getting a box of peaches delivered to their Columbus Ohio home this Saturday. And then these arrived for me. ❤️

Apples to Apples on the Blog over the Years

A few days ago I posted Erika and two of the grandkids walking in the apple orchard.

Then Steve’s art on the mantel with the Granny Smith apple.

Just for fun I did a google search – Apple and rutheh. Quite a few photos of apples or some form of apples appeared in the results.  Many apple photos  over the years of blogging. Some other fruit appeared and even some tomatoes as I scrolled down.  Here are a few examples of apple photos from previous posts.

There is the Before they Get to the Store post showing how Honey Crisps are grown in Washington.

An early blog post from August 2009   Anna is 15 now

Like a science experiment.  Drastic temperature change.       Anna (5) said “Get your camera and take a picture. You could win a prize!”

So this is what it looks like when “the bottom falls out”!

Silent Sunday

Apfelgalerie Still Life

In addition to ice cream, I love to eat fruit. I know there are people who do not. This fruit bowl was so inviting. Bought three kinds of apples after sampling each and also the golden Mirabellen.

A different kind of apple store- Apfelgalerie, Berlin.

Still Life With Stuff in the House

My next door neighbor, who is an artist, suggested I put things together in my house, create a still life and photograph them.

I shot the flowers in the pottery vase the other day.

Here is today’s collection.

Alabaster Eggs Still Life

Saw these all lined up  on the dining room mantel this afternoon. The light coming in through the stained glass window.  I thought it looked serene
