The Bocce Tournament is Saturday.  We missed the celebrity bocce on Thursday night with Mayor Peduto and Franco Harris. Heard it was fun

I was able to show some of the men their photos from two, three and four years ago.  Must have been out of town last year. One of my favorite city posts are the men playing bocce at night years ago

City Snippets Puddle Study

Along Grant Street, downtown Pittsburgh, after being released from jury duty. You know how I like reflections.

I walked a few blocks to the train station to meet Steve who was picking me up.

There must have been a lot of rain while I was inside the courthouse all day.

Winter Supper- Pierogies with Sautéed Spinach and Onions

A simple meal to ward off the damp chill.

Butter is key! (With a bit of olive oil so it doesn’t burn)

Basic potato and cheddar Pierogies. When I first moved to Pittsburgh the idea of mashed potatoes in dough turned me. Ha! Now it satisfies every carb craving that manifests itself in February.

Winter City Reflection

On the way home from the airport. Steve had picked me up. We stopped by the North Shore.

I’d just come from almost 70 degrees weather is Arizona and the winter city at dusk was such a contrast.

The beauty of winter.

Pittsburgh Autumn in a Bright Light

Yesterday I photographed a few scenes in the drizzly rain. I posted Pittsburgh Autumn in a Dull Light.

Today it was bright and so I returned to the same spots. You can’t see how windy it was.

Thinking about how light affects the mood, color and feel of a photograph.

Upstreet Impression

Photographed foggy morning September 16th. How fog affects the image’s feel.  A painterly effect.
